While she had initially praised Snowden, Gabbard revised her stance at the hearing, stating that he had broken the law and she would not seek a pardon for him.
In addition to probing leaks, Gabbard is also investigating misconduct in internal chat rooms within intelligence agencies. Over 100 intelligence officers were fired for discussing inappropriate topics on the government chat platform, violating professionalism standards and trust. Gabbard’s actions aim to address leaks, misconduct, and restore accountability within the intelligence community.
