Tragic Accident Claims Lives; Many Officers Recognized for Outstanding Service: New Hampshire State Police Update


A tragic accident in the North Country last week resulted in the death of 26-year-old Thomas Oakes of Bethlehem. According to New Hampshire State Police, Oakes was driving a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue south on Interstate 93 when the car left the highway, rolled several times, and came to rest on the northbound side of the median. Oakes was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

In related news, a number of arrests were reported by various New Hampshire State Police troops for charges including DUI, reckless operation, driving after revocation or suspension, and domestic violence.
