Concord police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who jumped off the Manchester Street bridge on Thursday. Dispatchers received calls around 1:30 p.m. reporting the incident. The man, who had been riding a mountain bike earlier, stopped, got off the bike, and jumped into the river. Despite extensive search efforts by multiple agencies, including the Concord Fire Department, Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office, and NH State Police Air and Marine Patrol units, the man has not been found. His backpack was recovered downstream, but he remains missing. The Concord Police Department is urging anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Division or submit tips anonymously through the Concord Regional Crimeline. Additionally, those in need of support or resources for suicidal crisis or emotional distress can contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline for assistance. The investigation into the incident is ongoing as authorities work to locate and identify the man who jumped off the bridge.
