On Friday night, a woman was arrested in Concord, New Hampshire for allegedly stealing an ambulance from outside of Concord Hospital. The ambulance, a Lifestar transport van, was taken from the emergency department at around 7:30 p.m. Police were able to recover the ambulance in the area of 79 Clinton Street just over half an hour later, using tracking technology to locate it.
The suspect, identified as Ashley Coleman, 42, is facing charges of receiving stolen property, theft by unauthorized taking, driving after suspension, and resisting arrest. Coleman refused bail and is set to be arraigned in Concord District Court on Monday.
Despite the incident, there was no reported damage to the ambulance. The quick response by law enforcement and the use of tracking technology played a crucial role in ensuring the safe recovery of the stolen vehicle.
