Thursday will see a passage of light snow

Manchester, New Hampshire is experiencing light snow early Thursday morning, potentially causing slippery roads throughout the state. The snow first developed in southwestern New Hampshire before spreading across the area. Although accumulation totals are not expected to be high, roads could become slick as temperatures hover around freezing. The snow is forecasted to change to a wintry mix or light rain in southern areas before tapering off, while it will remain as wet snow in central and northern spots. An accumulation of 4 to 6 inches is possible in western and central New Hampshire, with lesser amounts in the southern third of the state where the snow is more likely to change to rain. Cold air will return on Friday with highs in the 30s, and Granite Staters can expect another round of light snow and rain on Saturday. Sunday and Monday will be sunny and chilly with highs in the 20s and brisk winds. Residents are advised to stay weather-aware by downloading the WMUR app for weather alerts and updates on the go.
