Snow causes slippery road conditions

A quick round of light snow on Monday morning led to slippery travel conditions on roadways in New Hampshire. About 1-3 inches of snow accumulated across most of the state, with higher amounts in the White Mountains. Drivers were advised to allow extra time for their morning commute as traffic moved slower on main roadways. As the snow tapered off, temperatures climbed into the 30s and lower 40s in the afternoon.

A new front on Monday night was expected to bring more light snow to northern areas and mixed showers in central and southern areas. This could lead to slippery roads in some spots, with lows in the 20s by Tuesday morning. Winds were forecasted to pick up on Tuesday, with temperatures in the 20s feeling more like the teens due to wind chill.

Looking ahead, another round of messy weather was expected for Thursday, potentially starting with snow before turning into a wintry mix and rain for southern zones. Road conditions may be impacted, and residents were advised to stay weather-aware and download weather apps for updates. Stay tuned for the Storm Watch 9 forecast for the latest information.
