Country singer Sundance Head, winner of Season 11 of ‘The Voice,’ was injured by a stray bullet at his ranch in Texas, according to his agent. The 46-year-old was taken to a hospital in Tyler after the round lodged in a fatty area of his stomach. Luckily, no surgery was needed as the bullet did not hit any vital organs. Sundance’s wife, Misty, asked for prayers for her husband, stating that the bullet did not require removal. His agent speculated that the bullet came from a nearby hunter’s stray gunfire. There is no information on how exactly the accident occurred. Sundance, who was coached by Blake Shelton during his time on ‘The Voice,’ has released four albums in his career and toured with Shelton in 2017. Before finding success on ‘The Voice,’ he had tried unsuccessfully to advance on ‘American Idol.’ NBCUniversal Media, LLC, which includes both ‘The Voice’ and NBC News, is the network behind the popular singing competition show. Sundance Head is currently recovering from the incident and awaiting further details.
