Quantum Dot Display Technology from QLED TVs now integrated into M4 MacBook Pro

Apple has recently released the M4 family of MacBook Pros, which comes with significant improvements to its already impressive displays. The Liquid Retina XDR displays can now reach up to 1,000 nits of brightness for viewing content outdoors and as low as 1 nit for comfortable viewing in dark environments. The new nano-texture option is now available, providing a high-quality viewing experience.

One interesting detail that Apple did not mention is that the latest MacBook Pros now use quantum display technology, which offers enhanced color accuracy and vibrancy. Apple opted for the red KSF phosphor film instead of quantum dot technology due to environmental concerns surrounding cadmium, a toxic element commonly found in quantum dot displays. With the advancement of cadmium-free quantum dot options, Apple has now incorporated QLED technology into its displays, offering even better color accuracy.

The M4 MacBook Pro lineup, also known informally as “Liquid Retina QXDR” displays, now supports up to one billion colors, making it an ideal choice for those who value a high-quality display. With the upcoming Black Friday sales, consumers can expect to find great deals on these models, making it the perfect time to invest in a new MacBook Pro.
