President-elect Donald Trump has announced that Karoline Leavitt of New Hampshire will be the new White House Press Secretary, making her the youngest person to hold this position at just 27 years old. Leavitt previously served as the Trump Campaign National Press Secretary and Assistant Press Secretary in the 45th president’s White House. Trump praised Leavitt’s communication skills and effectiveness, expressing confidence in her ability to deliver the administration’s message to the American people. Leavitt, a graduate of Saint Anselm College, also ran for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District in 2022. She is the first woman to hold the position since the Trump administration, following former press secretaries Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Stephanie Grisham, and Kayleigh McEnany. Leavitt, who recently became a mother to a baby boy named Nicholas, shared her excitement for her new role and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in such a historic position. She looks forward to sharing her journey with her son as he grows older.
