A recent poll conducted by Praecones Analytica and the New Hampshire Journal has revealed that former President Donald Trump holds a slight lead over Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in New Hampshire as Election Day approaches. The poll, which included 622 registered voters, showed that Trump has a less than one-point lead over Harris, with 50.2 percent backing him compared to 49.8 percent supporting Harris. The poll also found that Republican gubernatorial candidate Kelly Ayotte enjoyed a slight lead over her Democratic opponent Joyce Craig.
The poll also delved into voters’ opinions on key issues, revealing concerns about potential tax increases under Craig and worries about Ayotte potentially enacting a blanket ban on abortion. The poll also showed that a majority of voters would be less likely to support a state legislator who voted in favor of allowing biological males to compete alongside girls in high school sports.
While the Praecones Analytica poll shows a tight race between Trump and Harris in New Hampshire, a recent Emerson poll gave Harris a three-point lead over Trump. Both polls place the presidential and gubernatorial races within their margins of error. New Hampshire, a state that has traditionally leaned Democratic in recent presidential elections, currently has a Republican governor but a congressional delegation made up entirely of Democrats. As the race in New Hampshire heats up, it remains to be seen which candidate will come out on top on Election Day.
