The annual New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters (NHAB) business meeting, board member elections, and Granite Mikes Awards took place on October 23 at the Bank of New Hampshire Stage in Concord. NHAB Executive Director Tracy Caruso presided over the event, which marked the organization’s 70th anniversary. NHPR received two first-place awards at the ceremony, with Senior Reporter Todd Bookman winning for his feature story, “Getting Back in Tune: The Story of Justin and His Missing Flute,” and Senior Producer Mary McIntyre winning in the Public Affairs/Talk category for “Live from the Tilton Diner: What We’re Hearing from Voters Ahead of the 2024 Presidential Primary.” Bookman’s story follows the search for a missing flute belonging to Dartmouth College senior Justin Selkow, while McIntyre’s piece delves into the issues faced by voters in the Lakes Region. NHPR Morning Edition producer Jackie Harris expressed gratitude for the recognition from the NHAB and highlighted the importance of engaging with the community on relevant topics.
