Winchester, NH – Tragedy struck on Tuesday morning when a crash involving two vehicles resulted in the death of one driver. The incident took place just before 10 a.m. on Manning Hill Road near the Village Laundromat. A 2016 Subaru collided with a 2014 Ford Escape, causing the Ford Escape to roll over on its side against a utility pole, trapping the 83-year-old driver from Peterborough inside. Despite being taken to UMass Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, the driver did not survive.
The Subaru, occupied by a 30-year-old Keene resident and a 1-year-old child, sustained heavy damage and was left in the middle of the road. Both occupants were taken to Cheshire Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
