With less than two weeks until Election Day, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is intensifying its ground game operation. Canvassers are using proprietary software to target potential Democratic voters, and the DNC has improved its cellphone lists to reach 80% of voters, a 50% increase from 2016. The DNC is also promoting its coordination with IWillVote.com, which helps voters find voting locations and resources to check their registration status.
The DNC’s efforts are supported by significant financial resources, with outside groups spending $464 million in support of the Democratic campaign in addition to the billion dollars raised by the Harris campaign during the third quarter. This level of funding surpasses the gross domestic product of some countries, highlighting the scale of investment in the election.
On the Republican side, the Trump campaign emphasizes its Trump Force 47 voter outreach program, while outside groups like Elon Musk’s America PAC and Turning Point Action are also contributing to door-knocking and text-sending efforts. Both parties are ramping up their ground game operations as Election Day approaches, with a focus on reaching as many voters as possible to secure their support.
