Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new sexual assault and rape accusations with five new civil lawsuits filed by attorney Tony Buzbee. The lawsuits, filed in the Southern District of New York, allege that Combs sexually assaulted or raped the plaintiffs in separate incidents from 2000 to 2022. Two of the plaintiffs are men and three are women, including one who alleged she was raped by Combs when she was 13 years old. Combs is also accused of drugging some of the plaintiffs, according to the suits.
Buzbee plans to file a total of seven suits against Combs, with more expected in the future. Combs’ legal team has denied all accusations, expressing confidence in the facts and their legal defenses. Combs is currently being held without bail on federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges, with a trial set for May 5. Prosecutors are going through data on over 90 devices seized at Combs’ properties in raids this year.
Combs’ legal team is requesting that his accusers in the federal sex trafficking case be publicly identified for proper defense preparation. Combs has been sued by several individuals, including Dawn Richard, who alleged assault, imprisonment, and threats against her life. In the face of these allegations, Combs continues to deny any wrongdoing. Chloe Melas, an entertainment correspondent for NBC News, reported on this story, with contributions from Dan Mangan of CNBC.
