The owner, Grace Ocean Private Limited, and operator, Synergy Marine Group, have not commented on the situation. The cargo ship, the Dali, suffered power losses before hitting the bridge, leading to its collapse and the death of six construction workers. The National Transportation Safety Board reported that the ship had technical issues that were not addressed, leading to the crash. The U.S. Justice Department has filed a lawsuit alleging that the companies involved cut corners and ignored electrical problems on the Dali. The investigation is ongoing, and further comments from involved parties are awaited.
