Nineteen-year-old Khale Guillou from Swanzey, New Hampshire, has been arrested and charged in connection with a car shooting that occurred near a Home Depot in Tewksbury earlier this month. The charges against Guillou include assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a firearm, vandalizing property, and possession of a firearm without a license.
The incident took place on July 15 at 5 a.m. when Guillou fired shots at a blue Nissan from inside a silver Mazda as both vehicles were leaving the Home Depot parking lot on Main Street. Fortunately, no one was injured, and Guillou fled the scene shortly after the shooting. It has been determined that Guillou knew the individuals he was targeting, and the shooting was not random, although the motive remains unclear.
Both Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Police assisted Tewksbury police in identifying Guillou as the shooter. He was arrested without incident and arraigned in Lowell District Court on July 23. Following a dangerousness hearing, he was held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court again on August 16.
Police continue to investigate the shooting, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The community is relieved that no one was harmed in the incident and remains vigilant as the case progresses.
