Waffle Burger, a new food operation specializing in waffle burgers inspired by traditional Belgian waffles, will be opening this Friday in Dover, New Hampshire. The idea for Waffle Burger came from Dennis Hackett’s wife, Kelly, who makes delicious homemade waffles. Dennis believes that handheld food tastes better on a waffle, leading to the creation of the Waffle Burger concept.
Located inside 603 Pizza on Central Avenue, Waffle Burger will offer a small menu of five items to start, including the signature waffle burger with a hamburger patty, American cheese, pickles, and hot maple syrup from The Spicy Shark in Portsmouth. The hot maple syrup will also be featured in other dishes like chicken and waffles and a waffle pastrami dish. Additionally, Waffle Burger will offer a waffle dessert with syrup and whipped cream, as well as frozen waffles to take home.
Dennis is collaborating with his friend Luke Marshall, the owner of 603 Pizza and a fellow high school graduate, to bring Waffle Burger to life. The unique concept of combining waffles and burgers in a small food operation is sure to intrigue food lovers in the area. The grand opening of Waffle Burger is set for Friday, June 28, promising a new and exciting culinary experience in Dover, New Hampshire.
