Kverneland Group and Dimensions Agri Technologies (DAT) have teamed up to introduce precision spraying systems in key European markets, including Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands. This collaboration integrates the DAT Ecopatch system with Kverneland sprayers to optimize herbicide application and enhance crop yields. The DAT Ecopatch system harnesses AI-driven sensor technology for precise herbicide application during the growth season in cereals, significantly reducing herbicide use by 50% and lowering production costs while increasing yields.
The partnership ensures seamless integration of the DAT Ecopatch system with Kverneland sprayers, providing farmers with advanced spraying technologies. Costing around €60,000, this system is currently available in Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands with plans for broader European expansion. Joint marketing efforts, including exhibitions and field days, will be conducted to promote the technology and extend it to additional crop types.
DAT, an agritech company based in Norway, focuses on precision farming to increase food production with fewer inputs and reduce environmental impact. Their system, a top 10 finalist for the Farm Machine 2024 at Agritechnica in Hannover, utilizes a patented sensor designed for harsh environments to capture real-time images of crops for analysis. With support from DAT’s international network and Kverneland’s dealer network, the adoption of the DAT Ecopatch system is set to benefit more farmers in Europe.
